Our brakes started squeaking the day before we were scheduled to leave from our vacation. Everywhere else had a 4-day wait. When they called in, the person suggested that we might try their newly opening North shop right in Manteo. They also had a similar wait, but when the guy heard we were from out of town he told us to drop the car off as soon as we could so they could take the wheels off and figure out what was wrong and order the parts the next morning so they could squeeze it in midday as filler work. He even kindly let us leave our suitcase in the corner of the shop after we had to check out that morning, and told us a couple of interesting things within walking distance to see so that we didn't have to finish our trip staring at the wall. Price was competitive with a mainland repair also!

We were there on time but the tires had not gotten there. They were so nice to keep us informed when the tires would be delivered.
