I have 2008 Ram 2500 4WD. It was shifting into 4 low on its own intermittently while driving. I took it to a local shop in Kill Devil Hills and they looked at it and said they didn’t have equipment to diagnose problem. Called dodge dealer they are backlogged till end of November. Called around and lighthouse said they could diagnose problem. Brought truck in they seem competent and very polite. Got a call a few days later seems 4WD servo needed replacing and they noticed needed front brakes and a universal changed, so ok the work. They call a week later now Total Integrated Power Module (computer/fuse box) fried. No choice but say ok. Week later truck is ready. Go to pick it up $5k. Leave with truck abs and air bag light on. Get home open hood. TIPM not installed properly just hanging there flopping around. Look at brake job and wire for driverside speed sensor rubbing and grounding out on new rotor. Bring truck back under 3 year 36k warranty and they call me next day for authorization to charge me to diagnose stuff they screwed up. I say no. Pick truck up and bring home. Diagnosed Air bag light myself. Turns out either they removed the 2 ten amp fuses for my air bags or are absolutely the most incompetent people swinging way above their weight class. Either way they have zero integrity and ripped me off for @ twice what job should have cost.

DO NOT TAKE A CAR HERE Two weeks, two weeks they've had my sister's car. They came highly recommended, but never again. It's taken them two weeks, of almost ZERO communication whatsoever, to diagnose a bad fuel pump. And that's a MAYBE. Would go elsewhere if the car could start.

I was in a pickle... I had just driven from Pennsylvania to OBX for a few days to visit my parents. My alternator chose at this point to fail, rendering my vehicle undriveable. I called Lighthouse and spoke with Josh, explained my predicament, and that I was supposed to be leaving the next day. He was able to get me in, and the mechanics were able to complete work on my vehicle in half a day! I would definitely go back if I lived anywhere close to Manteo. Great job everyone!
